I get asked a lot about styling Colourful shoes. I think the instinct can be that a loud shoe needs a loud dress. I like more balance and to be unexpected. A colour pop is exactly that, the pop. The pop should stand out. I would add an unexpected more muted pattern like this black & white polka dot dress. Which is fun but doesn’t overpower the shoe. Then I’d do a simple (textured) all black bag and simple black accessories, a statement earring or chunky bangle. Great style is celebrating the one great piece in your outfit and letting the rest complement it.
The Neon Pink has become quite synonymous with the Nicki Hoyne brand but I still get asked what the pink can be worn with. And you would be surprised it goes with most colours, but paired with black or monotone outfits and the shoes really do all the talking!
Red and Black is a classic combination that will never go out of style. And even better it works all year round!
